18-Under. Coached by Jeremy Leitzen and Butch Kunde - May have openings.

There was also an 18-Under team coached by Jeremy Leitzen that is with the Marengo Teener organization. Next year the Marengo Teener will be playing with the Marengo Mud Dogs.

For next year the teams we would like to field for travel for the Mud Dogs are:

12-Under We are presently looking for a coach.

The cut offs for the ages on the travel teams will be January 1, 2008. Any girl who would like to tryout for the teams are invited to try out. You can try out for 1 or more teams. If you thought you would like to try out for 16-U and you could still play 14-U but are not sure if you would make the 16-U team, you could try out for both and then make a decision if necessary.

The cost of playing on the Mud Dog teams is a minimum of $300.00; this could be more, depending on the number of tournaments the team enters and what they purchase. The travel teams pay $100 of that into the MUGS organization, which covers their insurance, administrative expenses, legal fees, and the cost of their home games. We keep track of each team’s money which is kept separate from the MUGS organization and each team’s money is kept separate from the other teams. One team may play in 8 tournaments and buy new uniforms, bat bags, jackets or other items and another team may only play in 5 tournaments and not make any additional purchases. One team may do fundraisers to off-set their fees, while another team may do none. That is why each team’s money is kept separate.

Anyone who is interested in playing on any of the teams, and could not make the tryout date, please contact any of the coaches to set up an individual time.
