About Us

Facts to know:

  • Over 1.2 Million girls play softball on community teams.
  • Women have been playing competitive Softball for over 70 years.
  • Studies demonstrate that girls who play sports are 80% less likely to
experience unwanted pregnancy, 92% less likely to use drugs, more
likely to get better grades, more likely to graduate high school.
  • 80% of female executives surveyed in Fortune 500 companies identified
themselves as having played sports in school.
  • Girls who are physically active experience reduced risk of breast cancer
    and osteoporosis.
  • They are less likely to start smoking, to have high blood pressure and to
    be overweight.
  • Girls and boys are equally as interested in sports participation between
the ages of 6 and 9. By age 14 girls drop out of sports at a significantly
higher rate than boys. Moreover, if a girl does not participate in sports by
age 10, there is only a 10% chance she will participate in ANY athletics by
    age 25.
